Date: Mon, 22 Jun 2009 10:39:30 -0700 X-Message-Number: 3 Margott is in Montana Before California Window Covering Retailers break out the Champagne and start celebrating let me clarify something, Mychael Margott, the Bernie Madhoff of the window covering industry, has not moved to Montana, he has become Montana - Charlie Montana that is! Yes its true, Margott aka Avanti, Maine, Margalotti and many other fictitious names that he has created over the years to hide his true identity from creditors has now changed his name again. Mychael's son Vincent is following in ole dad's footsteps and is calling himself Vinnie Montana. The name may have changed but the Montana Gang is still up to the same old tricks; not paying venders, misrepresenting products and hiding from creditors. Rumor has it that Mychael will soon be filing bankruptcy and will then be reborn as Charlie Montana forever; or at least until he ruins Charlie's good name and credit. As most Pro readers know by now, Margott has run three phony companies into the rocks in the last few years, Broadway Shutters, Shoreline Shutters and Infiniti Window Fashions. Now, he is doing business as 7 Seas Shutters, a supposed wholesale manufacturer of shutters that doesn't really manufacture anything and a window covering retail company called The Blind & Shutter Pros. 7 Seas Shutters claims that it has a factory located in Wexford PA and The Blind & Shutter Pros website, blindandshutterpro.net, claims that they have been building shutters for twelve years and operates out of a 45,000 square foot factory in Newbury Park California. It should come as no surprise to anyone who knows Margott, that neither claim is true. The Wexford Pennsylvania address is really a PO Box at the UPS Store where Mycheal's eldest son Chris (who lives in Pennsylvania) picks up the checks, paperwork, etc mailed to the factory and then ships the documents back to Papa Montana. Other than committing tax evasion (because they are not charging sales tax on out of state sales) it's a pretty clever idea because the counterfeit Pennsylvania address keeps creditors off Mychael's trail and who on earth would actually visit Wexford Pennsylvania to see if they really have a factory there. As for The Blind & Shutter Pros, they do not have a 45,000 square foot factory in Newbury Park, but they do reside in a tiny little 450 square foot office at 70 West Easy Street in Simi Valley California with no signage to identify themselves. Insiders say that the only thing keeping Margott going are a few Budget Blinds Dealers who are purchasing their shutters from 7 Seas Shutters, which is also located at 70 West Easy Street in Simi Valley, and the retail sales calls he runs for The Blind & Shutter Pro's. Although most companies have the good sense not to sell to Margott, companies like Century Blinds, Comfortex Window Fashions and of course US Polymers are still willing to do business with him. For any of you who have liens or judgments against Margott, like the IRS, Wells Fargo Bank, Citibank, Lyon Financial, Pawnee Leasing, Sunbelt Properties, Norman International, the State Franchise Tax Board, The State Board of Equalization and the dozens of other individuals and businesses that are trying to locate the elusive little fellow, here is where you can find him: Mychael's Business Address: 70 West Easy Street, Simi Valley, CA Mychael's Business Number: 888-281-2292 and 866-799-9470 Mychael's Home Address: 664 Woodlawn Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360 Mychael's Cell Phone: 805-732-6830 --- END OF DIGEST
