It may not be direct, they look for creative ways to "invest" in new opportunities. Let's say a guy named Bob wanted to start a on-line blind sales biz, and he goes to two guys who own a blind manufacturing company in any-town USA. The two owners of said manufacture "Invest" with BOB and become the exclusive supplier of products to Bob's on-line blind biz. If I owned a manufacturing company and this deal came to me I'd say Yes! (The names were changed to protect the guilty) If the tables were turned you'd jump on it. Let's say a manufacture comes to you and ask you to invest in their business and in exchange you get all products at cost and some of his profits. Would you do it? Date: Wed, 29 Jun 2011 09:18:01 -0700 (PDT) X-Message-Number: 10 I have a customer with a reachable skylight that is about 86X43. The best solution would be the Architella (he wants to cut down on the heat and glare and would prefer not having a total blackout--but blackout would be second choice. So, the braintrust at Hunter Douglas decided to eliminate Skyrise, and I have not been able to find anyone doing skylight that size. I know I could do metal blinds that size, but I think the heat build up would be an issue. Any thoughts?
