My favorite places are:

Craigslist (free or for sale sections)
Freecycle
Habitat for Humanity
Community or church rummage sales

You might also contact local decorators or builders, and let them know you
have these items at a discount.  Then put a list online, so that you don't
get bogged down fielding questions.

Another possibility might be to donate them to a non-profit fund raiser.
Boys and Girls Clubs and other non-profits hold silent auctions, and they
badly need items to auction off.

I know you didn't ask about technology items, but most businesses keep
reasonably updated on technology.  For old hardware (old computers,
printers, etc), many schools are beginning technology museums, so that
children can see what old computers, cell phones, 8 track tapes, rotary dial
phones, and other past technology used to look like.
