Here in Oregon all installers are required to be licensed, bonded, and insured. 
We too are required to give our Construction Contractors Board number
in all advertising.  Failing to do so can result in a $1000 fine for each occurance.  
The CCB also has a website so that prospective customers can look 
up your number and get full disclosure on your business (complaints, time
in business, CCB violations, fines, ETC). This is a very effective tool that 
adds clout to your business and the profession by weeding out the 
non-professionals.
