I need suppliers who manufacture or distribute a quality product and don't charge an arm and a leg for samples. Also, I am looking for companies who can have their product delivered to Michigan in 7-10 business day except for shutters and draperies obviously. If interested please contact me through the blog. When you agreee to become a HD Dealer, you have to agree to the policies and procedures, which stated that: you can not offer to sell any HD product over the internet, but you can advertise as a HD product dealer and you are required to make an in-home visit to measurement windows for accuracy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Internet sales From: Judith Clark
Date: Sat, 23 Jul 2011 11:22:59 -0400 X-Message-Number: 6 William, I really don't think it is true that a privately owned company can't restrict the sale of it's product over the Internet. I tried to sell lamps on the Internet a few years ago and that company said, no. I took those lamps down. I sell furniture as well and many of them have verbiage on the sales rules page of the price list that says no Internet sales. I won't go into a long dissertation here on the problems I had with Internet and shipping issues, but this is why HD may restrict Internet sales. Judith Clark, FIFDA, CID ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Tension Device concerns on beaded chains From: MBarone183@aol.com Date: Sat, 23 Jul 2011 21:16:15 -0400 (EDT) X-Message-Number: 7 Hi Pro's, I need your help. HD also. I just installed 20 HD Designer Screen Shades with a beaded chain control. The spring and lock on the retainer for the beaded chain was so strong it made the shade operate very roughly. The sping on the retainer (anchor) had to be fully compressed before mounting to the inside of the window and the doors to allow for the large connecting bead to pass through it. (Man that is a pain to install.) Has anyone else experienced this? When operating the shade pulling the very taught beaded chain was like sawing through a log and makes it very rough to operate. HD what would be wrong with a simple anchoring devise without the spring? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Date: Mon, 25 Jul 2011 09:43:37 -0700 X-Message-Number: 9 Hi Pros, A client of mine is asking for a one way ripplefold panel (blackout lined faux silk) with a sheer underpanel. The rod face is 244" with a FL of 103". She would like the panels to cover the rod when they are in the closed position. Kirsch Architrac rods max out at 192" from what I'm told and since it's a one way draw I'm extremely hesitant to splice the rod for fear the panels will get caught up at the splice. Is there any other ripplefold hardware out there that will accomodate the 21 ft. rod face? Since I'm in a bit of a time crunch if you're able to contact me directly I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for any help. Date: Thu, 28 Jul 2011 11:55:00 -0400 X-Message-Number: 12 Hi Pro's, I need some help on this one. I sold three solarium shades from Prestige to a client on February of 2006. Two of the shades have begun to de-laminate. Does anyone have any idea what current Comfortex fabric would be equivalent to FAB103 3/8" Copper. Barring that, does anyone know if I could purchase new fabric from Comfortex or a third party and have it work with the existing hardware? Thanks for al of your help!
