WINDOW-PRO Digest for Saturday, August 15, 2009. 1. HD brackets 2. RE: ACS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: HD brackets From: "Roger Gober"
Date: Sat, 15 Aug 2009 09:29:06 -0400 X-Message-Number: 1 It's not only the brackets, it's the headrail system itself. I have spoken to several friends in the business and the consensus seems to be that the new ez-rise headrail is a nightmare. We have sold a number of them and have had service issues on 30% of them already. The new headrail also makes it very difficult to disassemble in the field and service. We have used ez-rise for years for large shades up to the maximum size constraints, and even though we have had to re-tape them, we haven't had to send them back to HD for that service. HD, please give us back the old tape system! Roger Gober All About Blinds and Shutters cell# 994-2943 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: RE: ACS From: "Anthony Augugliaro"
Date: Sat, 15 Aug 2009 10:09:51 -0400 X-Message-Number: 2 After Royal sold to Georgia Gulf I needed a source for vertical components, so we went to ACS. That was the biggest mistake I have made in 32 years. I had to replace at least 600 vertical tracks that had defective glides. WhenI tried to talk to Danny, he would not return my calls. But though the sales rep. he said that the problem was a warranty issue and had nothing to do with ACS! I am still replacing tracks today. As for ACS's integrity THEY HAVE NONE. They made a copy of my check then they deposited the copy. A week later deposited the check; it took weeks to resolve this. A mistake maybe, but I was not the only one they did that to. I believe Shane Hayes was right in exposing ACS for what they are. My advice is, don't just walk away but run away from anything to do with ACS.
