Date: Fri, 21 Oct 2011 08:12:28 -0500 X-Message-Number: 1 I had several private emails asking about the Unbound app I use for cataloging my docs, pdfs, etc into my iPad. I can share particulars with you all, but it seems the best way to start is to give you the directions: http://unboundapp.com/ for information on Unbound to include the Developer. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/unbound/id449169320?mt=8 for the FREE download I think it is a winner. Saves me from lugging every manual of every company. It will take time on the front end as someone needs to import the information. Maybe you could convince your suppliers to offer up the service; after all, it would save a lot of money on printing hardcopy to mail to every prospective dealer. Date: Thu, 3 Nov 2011 20:04:02 -0500 X-Message-Number: 5 Charlie: How well do you know your product mix? Do you believe in the "good-better-best" concept? Does your program exemplify this kind of concept? If so, try beginning with the best. I find that by the time I am trial closing, about 65% of people I serve are emotionally committed to the very first thing I have recommended. it makes it very difficult for them to "look down" to the lower level of product line after I have extolled the virtues of the higher quality products. To be honest, I have no fall-back position in the product lines I carry. And so if someone is looking to shop, I'm probably not the person to ask for all the different prices. Let them wear someone else out. Ask a lot of questions (qualify). Know when to "hold 'em. Know when to fold ' em. Time is money. Someone else out there may require your services and you might be wasting time on a bottom feeder. Most important, believe in your product. And then (and only then), you can command the larger numbers and better profit margins. Talk to Judith Clark. She is truly a Window Pro! (there are numerous others, but she is always one of those special people always out in front in my mind) Best regards, Beta "A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them" -Steve Jobs Sent from my iPad 2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: motorized shutters From: "Ron Cogan"

Date: Sat, 5 Nov 2011 11:13:41 -0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) X-Message-Number: 9 It is seldom that we take time to give kudo's to the companies whom are actually doing a good job, who want our business, and actually seem to care about our customers. One of those (in my humble opinion) is Graber. Besides selling new product, I repair anything that comes through door. Before you classify me as a fool, consider that the repairs are done during my spare time, I get paid well for my effort, and I see those clients again for repairs and occasionally for new product. I also get a lot of word of mouth business from this effort. More importantly, I get to see who's product doesn't last. For the last year I have been changing my offerings in an effort to get a better balance and quality of products I offer. My analysis of the products I see and don't see for repair led me to Graber. Full disclosure requires me to mention that the only company that has a better rating (in my humble opinion) is Hunter Douglas, but I already sell their products. To give one instance of what a great company does, read on. A couple weeks ago Graber held a live webinar covering their cellular product. It was an introductory presentation, but it was hosted by a person who actually had built the product and had years of product knowledge. At the end, questions were entertained I asked how I could get replacement cellular cord locks for their product built about 15 years ago. I was sent more than 20 cord locks at no charge. Another person asked if their was a tool that made removing the cord lock easier, he and I were sent a removal tools at no charge. In my opinion, Graber just set my expectations of my other suppliers far higher Thank you for your time, John Portman Comfort Made Blinds 207-A Pinehurst Ave. Southern Pines, NC 28387 910-692-5500 Comfort Made Blinds is a Green Certified Business ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: RE: "Brick Red" Vertical Needed From: "ivan lourido"
